James Murray has been providing affordable, caring, competent counseling services to Monmouth and Ocean County individuals for the past 30 years. He is a Board Certified Diplomate in clinical social work for advanced practice, an approved provider of substance abuse treatment by the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT), and a qualified substance expert as approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, social phobia, panic disorder, problems of adolescence, substance abuse treatment (SAP) and more. Providing SAP evaluations for those who fail urine tests for a CDL license. Treatment is geared to meeting clients own needs. Major emphasis is on helping individuals becoming more emotionally and physically healthy. Over my 30 plus years in practice I have learned to share empathy and acceptance to all of my clients.

Clinical areas: marital/couples counseling, problems of youth (12yrs and up), SAP evaluations, anxiety/depressive dirorders, post traumatic stress disorder, addiction:substance abuse (alcohol, gambling, sexual addiction). Major treament approach is cognative behavioral therapy.
